As a business sprouting roots in 2005; pre-employment background screening, background verification, employee background checks or whatever terminology the business world chose to use; had no blueprint to replicate.

Manpower intensive, data centric, paper driven; the business was intense, dynamic and threw up daily challenges of data-sharing, data-capturing, data-authenticity. On ething was for sure: the manual approach was definitely not the way forward if the business aimed at spreading its wings across the industry.

We found the off-the-shelf solutions of automation limited in their capability to address the requirements to both the Clients’ and the Agency’s satisfaction. So, our think-tank brainstormed and designed a solution which was scalable, flexible, secure and helped make the business financially robust.

The first iteration (now obsolete) was a simple PHP-based internal tool created to replace the flow of data till then done through mammoth excel sheets. This tool, though rudimentary, gave the AuthBridge team a clearer perspective of the workflow requirement and the flexibility the workflow solution would require so as to completely eliminating the use of offline modes.

Now in its third avatar the customized solution at AuthBridge created using Java and a MySQL database is somewhat closer to what the business ultimately needs. The automated solution at AuthBridge gives it an edge allowing  it to seamlessly transfer information, documents, reports to verification sources, to vendors, to clients to partners without in any way compromising on data security or loss.

Apart from a tool to hold the complex business processes in a bind; this business requires a robust emailing solution. Working in close collaboration with an indigenous emailing solution company; AuthBridge has a customized product which has eased the operational challenges faced earlier in quick searching through terabytes of data, heavy in and outflow of mails and attachments and auto-generated reminder mails.

Providing solutions apart; technology helped AuthBridge reduce paper consumption by nearly 80%; and in turn reduced the requirement of physical storage space or solutions.

The problems technology helped solve are:

  • Client Management: Client now has online access to real-time movement of verification and the flexibility of viewing data, downloading reports, and uploading documents at convenience.
  • Paper Management: Secure Storage. Data Security. Limitation in sharing information across departments & verification sources.
  • Data Management: With Data being entered in one application & by one department; the ambiguity or chances of mismatch of data are removed.
  • Manpower Management: Technology helped AuthBridge is using infrastructure better allowing remote access through secure channels.
