Kickbacks, overcharging and bribes are words that have been dominating the Indian press over the last few weeks. Somehow, these illegal activities are universally associated with government. You don’t expect them to be connected with one of the top three automobile manufacturers in the world.

False Claims Make for Overpaid, Under -qualified Employees
An inflated salary is a very close cousin to exaggerated job titles and responsibilities. In fact they are closely linked. The seriously widespread abuse of this particular facet of resume fraud is reflected in a survey. A resume services company discovered that 40% percent of the resumes they studied contained false salary claims, the largest area of fraud study.

Falsified Employment Details
There is no nice way to say this – but people lie on their résumés. Especially in areas they can get away with it. Previous experience is such an area and therefore a prime candidate for falsification and exaggeration. Job titles and responsibilities don’t mean the same thing from one company to another. In rare cases where they do match, the functions or level of reporting will differ.
