Fake Employment
|
| |
Verifying the employment history
details of a candidate who had applied for a job with a
major software company our verifier contacted the number
mentioned on the job application form and the relieving
letter. The contacted person verified all the mentioned
employment details.
|
| |
Verification was completed but
certain facets caught the attention of our verifier. The
relieving letter provided by the applicant was on the
company letter head but had been signed by a junior
executive and his cell number was handwritten. The fixed
line numbers on the letter-head were unreachable.
|
| |
The signatory was asked for the board
numbers, which he unhesitatingly provided. A call to the
HR at the fixed-line number of the company, revealed few
startling facts. The applicant had never worked there.
The company had since changed ownership and had been
rechristened, hence the numbers mentioned on the letter
were dysfunctional. The letter-head used was of the now
defunct company.
|
| |
The HR confirmed misuse of office
stationery and collusion of a junior employee for a
non-existent employee!
