Stolen Identity

While conducting the past employment screening for a candidate, the verifier was told by the past employer that he had issued the relieving letter to an ex-employee but not in the name as on the submitted relieving letter. The name on the document submitted by the candidate was of the business partner of his past employer. The employer forwarded a photograph of his partner to substantiate his statement.

The partner was contacted wherein he stated that the past employee had stolen his education documents before leaving the job. A photograph of the ex-employee was also requested for.

Both the photographs were forwarded to the client declaring it a case of stolen identity.
